THE STORY

It's 1985 and video game-obsessed Eran, tired of looking after his kid sister, sneaks out of the house and rides his bike to the wrong part of town, all just to play on a mysterious arcade cabinet. But on inserting a coin, something goes awry and Eran’s world is changed forever as his body is split into millions of tiny atoms and reordered, rearranged, and re-coded into Un-Gameland!

Decades later… Elaine has been gaming her whole life, it's the one thing that connects her to her beloved brother who went missing so long ago. Her obsession eventually leads her to an old arcade cabinet in a collector's vault. She, like her brother, inserts a coin and is catapulted into Un-Gameland.

Elaine finds Un-Gameland to be a vast, strange but beautiful world of interconnected game dimensions, all with challenges to face and conquer, and conquer she does. Defeating every level, until she reaches the end and meets the final boss, who offers to grant her one wish. She utters her wish to be reunited with her brother, and immediately is catapulted through time, shattering UnGameland into hundreds of separate realms.

Un-Gameland 80’s Eran’s barely found his feet in the fractured mess that is UnGameland when he discovers Bot, a confused and terrified robot girl. She has no memory of who she is or how she got here, just remembering that she was looking for someone. Taking her under his wing Eran, Bot and their bubble dragons, set out to fix Un-Gameland and defeat the Glitch that broke it in the first place.

Eventually Eran and Bot will complete Un-Gameland and discover Bot’s true identity, but also that it was she who broke the world, creating a rift between them. Will they unpick the Glitch and release her memories? If they do, will her wish be undone? Will Un-Gameland be reunited? Will Eran and Elaine ever get home?

Not so High Concept.

BOT is from the present day, ERAN is still in the 80’s allowing us to parody and reference current culture and the culture from our childhood, and even smash the two together. One of the sillier concepts we like to tack on to each episode is a set of misheard lyrics from a popular 80’s tune and use it to create a pastiche, parody track to play out the episode. In our Pilot, we riff on Prefab Sprout’s “The King of Rock and Roll”. It's a fun way of taking something old for the grownups and making it new for the kids. The Main Arc Though essentially a procedural show, the show is interwoven with a larger story arc revealing who our characters are and how they got here. The broad strokes of which are as follows.
